Case Study – China Installations, Four x 300 Ton Press Lines
As a strategic move, our client – a NYSE Fortune 500 company – built a new plant for some of their manufacturing operations in China. Revro recommended the appropriate specifications & equipment which was built by our associate ZANI in Italy.
Revro installed and commissioned the press lines – four 300 Ton Mechanical Blanking Presses complete with ASSERVIMENTI Uncoilers, Feeders, & Straighteners. Coil parameters 800 mm wide x 7 mm thick x 7000 kg weight. The presses included variable speed, variable stroke, quick die change and rollers, tonnage monitoring equipment, PILZ safety system, DESCH clutch & brake Complete Drive Package and integrated with Seimans industrial computer with tool storage for product and management reporting. The initial project was for 3 press lines which were delivered and installed individually. All presses are mounted on VibroDynamics Vibration Isolator Mounts.
Such was the client satisfaction that a further order was placed for the fourth press line. Revro regularly visits this client for preventative maintenance programmes and training of personnel as required.
Case Study – Isolation Mounts, New Zealand
Our client proposed to relocate 3 presses within their plant but in close proximity of sensitive equipment. We were asked to recommend and supply individual Isolators to reduce vibration, improve tool life and minimise the cost of foundations.
Our associate VibroDynamics supplied individual vibration mounts to suit each of the presses which were of varying capacities, weights and speeds. The mounts were installed under HME (Horden Mason & Edwards) 200 ton, Wilkins & Perry 250 ton and a Wilkins & Mitchell 400 ton presses. All equipment is working to the satisfaction of the client without any fixture to the factory floor.
OHS benefits were of significant importance to our client and these benefits were achieved. An additional benefit was the value of the mounts in an earthquake prone region of the world.
